The building project mainly consists of 5 functions, in order:
- a senior home with 36 residential units
- a childcare centre with 5 groups
- a Red Cross service station
- a DOJO hall
- and 10 “assisted living” units
The precise location of 3 structures creates an urban presence in the current milieu and allows for a dialogue and synergies between the various functions.
Because of the sensitive handling of the local topography as well as the formulation and placement of the structures relative to each other, a coherent ensemble arises which, through its scale and height development, is based on the surrounding developments and forms an identity-establishing neighbourhood centre.
